We are now looking for a BI Developer.

You will be part of our Global IT Business Intelligence team, whose purpose is to enable data-driven decision‑making across the organization. The team works closely with stakeholders across production, finance, supply chain, and commercial functions to deliver high‑quality, reliable BI solutions.

As a BI Developer, you will design, build, and maintain data and analytics solutions that transform raw data into meaningful insights. You will collaborate with data engineers, business stakeholders and analytics colleagues to ensure high‑performing dashboards, validated datasets, and effective data pipelines.

Your main tasks will include:

• Developing and optimizing SQL queries in SQL Server and Snowflake
• Supporting and enhancing Azure Data Factory pipelines
• Building and maintaining Power BI dashboards, datasets, and semantic models aligned with business KPIs
• Translating business requirements into scalable BI solutions
• Ensuring data quality, performance, and proper documentation
• Supporting operational and financial reporting (cost, margin, inventory, production metrics)
• Troubleshooting data and reporting issues in collaboration with business teams
   

The position can be located at any of Billerud’s sites in Sweden, with a preferred placement at the head office in Solna.

To succeed in this position, we believe you have:

• Academic degree in Computer/Systems Science or equivalent
• Several years of experience working with BI solutions
• Good knowledge of Power BI and/or SAP Analytics Cloud
• Experience with SQL development (SQL Server, Snowflake)
• Experience working in a Microsoft environment
• Fluent in English, spoken and written

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure BI components or SAP Datasphere
• Knowledge of DevOps practices
• Experience from production‑related IT or the paper/packaging industry
• Certification in Microsoft or SAP technologies
• Fluency in Swedish

You are a strong communicator who can explain technical solutions to non‑technical stakeholders, which is essential when collaborating with business teams.

You work well independently when developing BI components but also enjoy being part of a collaborative team environment. You take ownership of your subject areas and approach problem‑solving with curiosity and determination.
