Purpose of Opportunity

Direct and work with the converting, shipping, PS&D team members and work processes.

Minimum Qualifications
· Must be a USW team member, paid hourly.

· Must be comfortable with computers.

· Must be able to communicate effectively and lead team members.

Selection Criteria
· Selection will be through a joint Union/Management interview process mutually agreed upon by both parties. Require a total of one (1) relief team member.

Duties
· Assist team members with loading trucks, moving product and other duties as required.

· Selected team members will schedule vacation and days off within the working leader group.

· Assign loading dock doors to outside drivers and assist with paperwork completion.

· Identify spotted trailers to be moved in or out and maintain trailer movement log.

· Using DataPass - Create Trailer tags for spotted trailers & 1 step trailers from 010 location to 012 location.

· Using a Word Document, create Loader Checklists with the correct SCAC codes, Shipment Weight, Material (Cartons/Skids), Dock Door #, and Trailer #.

· Monitor Hi Rise Space, Floor Space, In Process & Shipping/Staging area.

· Execute “workarounds” when equipment failures or maintenance occurs.

· Manage LE Mismatch Report-Skids, Cartons, Rolls

· Scheduling duties including but not limited to OT Tracker, call-in replacements, correct/change schedule.  Post announcements for extra hours available and assign individuals signed up.

· These duties are not all inclusive – required to perform other duties as assigned.

· While in this role team members will hold seniority and LOP in their department.

· Schedule will be M-F, 8 hours shifts and some weekends (on call) to start. 

· Overtime will be scheduled in Working Leader classification before scheduled in home department.

· When not needed as a relief for the Working Leaders you will be scheduled in your home department.

· Term to be 4 years. Selected candidates can reapply and can serve consecutive terms.

Pay Rate

The rate of pay would be 1.1 times the top rate in shipping / PS&D (32.22/ hr.), subject to future contractual rates.
