Do you want to be part of a global team and take responsibility for the local network at Gruvön? We are now looking for an experienced and curious Network Technician!

In this role, you will work in a dynamic and varied environment where your days may range from managing urgent network incidents to participating in strategic IT projects. As a Network Technician with us, you will play a key role in ensuring that our networks function smoothly and efficiently, both locally and in collaboration with our global team.


In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Manage both local and global network solutions, focusing on data center networks and implementing processes aligned with the ITIL framework.
  • Maintaining, updating and optimizing the local network at Gruvön.
  • Operate and use primarily Cisco systems.
  • Managing network incidents and service requests, as well as contributing to improving our network operations.
  • Supporting and collaborating with other sites to maintain and develop our shared standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborating with the IT security team and assisting with security-related projects.
  • Participating in global and local projects.

 

You will be based at Gruvön, with your immediate manager located in Wisconsin Rapids, USA. Since the role is global, you will work closely with colleagues in both Sweden and the USA.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role of Network Technician, we believe you have:

  • Education in networking or IT, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience working with Cisco products and ITIL processes.
  • General competence in IT security.
  • Technical experience in network setup and working with data center networks.
  • Fluent proficiency in both Swedish and English.

 

Meritorious:

  • Experience in industrial environments, particularly within the process or manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with working in globally composed teams.
