We are now looking for a Mill Director Gävle, who will take overall responsibility for the mill’s operations and, in line with our company strategy, plan, develop, lead, and continuously follow up performance across the entire area of responsibility.

 
Your key responsibility will be: 

• Overall accountability for safety at the site. Driving a strong safety culture across the production site ensuring full compliance with internal standards and applicable legislation and regulations

• Lead, develop, and follow up mill operations at the mill in line with company strategy, policies, targets, and guidelines

• Deliver stable operations and continuous improvement in productivity and cost efficiency

• Lead the local mill management team effectively, acting as a role model in leadership and accountability while driving engagement and high performance

• Be an active member of the Operations Management Team (OMT), contributing ideas, sharing best practices, and helping shape improvements and development across Operations overall

• Ensure the business operates in full compliance with environmental legislation, permits, and regulatory decisions, and proactively improves environmental performance

• Hold full cost responsibility for the operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance follow-up

To succeed in this position, we believe you have:

• University degree in business, production management, engineering, or equivalent experience
• Senior operations leader with proven ability to run complex industrial operations safely, efficiently, and in line with strategic targets
• Strong safety champion who drives a proactive safety culture, ensures strict compliance with legislation and internal standards, and acts as a visible role model at site level
• Results driven business leader experienced in delivering stable operations, continuous improvement, productivity gains, and cost efficiency
• Credible senior people leader with a track record of leading and developing high performing management teams, fostering engagement, accountability, and strong execution
