We are now looking for a Manager Climate Impact to join our Group Sustainability & Public Affairs team. In this strategic role, you will lead the development and coordination of Billerud's climate agenda and our transition towards a low-carbon future.  

This is an opportunity to work at the center of one of Billerud's most important sustainability priorities. The role will play an important part in delivering Billerud’s sustainability agenda by leading the Low-carbon dimension of the transformation. You will collaborate across the business, driving climate transition initiatives and ensuring alignment between Group climate priorities and execution across functions and regions.  

The position can be located in Solna or in any of our mills.

Your main tasks will be: 

• Lead the development and consolidation of climate transition roadmaps across Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. 
• Translate climate targets and SBTI commitments into actionable plans and initiatives. 
• Drive and coordinate decarbonization efforts across functions, regions, and business units. 
• Facilitate workshops and support implementation of decarbonization initiatives across the organization. 
• Track climate performance, identify risks and opportunities, and support follow-up against targets. 
• Strengthen capabilities and knowledge around climate topics across the organization. 
• Support climate-related reporting and external disclosures, including CDP, EcoVadis and annual reporting. 
• Contribute to climate and energy-related regulatory discussions and stakeholder engagement.

To succeed in this position, we believe you have: 

• Master's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, Sustainability or a related field. 
• At least 7 years of experience from sustainability, climate, ESG or related areas. 
• Strong knowledge of climate accounting frameworks, including GHG Protocol and Scope 1-3 emissions. 
• Experience in climate transition planning, decarbonization programs or emission reduction initiatives. 
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights. 
• Excellent communication skills in English. 

Meritorious 

• Experience from manufacturing, process industry, energy-intensive industries or complex international organizations. 
• Background from sustainability consulting or corporate sustainability functions. 
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and driving alignment with senior stakeholders. 
• Knowledge of climate-related regulations, policy frameworks and reporting standards.
