Summary Description: Plan, coordinate, and facilitate environmental programs to assure compliance with all corporate, state, and federal environmental laws, regulations, and policies. Compliance programs of focus for this position may include air quality compliance, wastewater, stormwater, waste management, landfill/groundwater management, and chemical reporting. In addition, this position supports the company environmental management system and the mill’s ISO 14001 certification program.
Required Experience and Education:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
- Knowledge and understanding of applicable regulatory programs and environmental regulations, e.g. NPDES, EPCRA, ISO14001, TSCA, RMP/PSM, Clean Water Act, MACT I, MACT II, Boiler MACT, NSPS, GHG Reporting, solid/hazardous waste, etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated leadership, organizational and time-management skills.

- Physical stamina and agility to conduct on-site inspections of the facility and equipment.
Preferred Skills:
- Pulp and paper, industrial, energy sector, or similar environmental compliance experience.
